K-Trips is an independent travel blog about Korea, written for people who are planning the trip themselves — first time in Seoul or fifth time out in the countryside.
Who’s behind K-Trips
K-Trips is run and edited by Sung Hwan Cho (조성환), a Seoul-born industrial designer. He is not a travel journalist. The guides answer the questions visitors to Korea tend to ask: where to eat nearby, whether a place is worth the queue, how to pay for the bus.
What you’ll find here
Practical guides for getting around Korea and eating well while you do it: neighbourhood walks in Seoul, day trips and coastal towns, Korean food and how to order it without guessing, bathhouse and palace etiquette, and the logistics that trip people up — subways, KTX, buses, T-money and airport transfers. Every guide is written for someone reading it in English while standing on a platform, so directions are specific and the caveats are stated.
How these posts are checked
Opening hours, fares, closing days and prices are being re-checked against public sources, with preference for the operator’s or the authority’s own pages — the venue’s site, the city or park authority, KORAIL, or Visit Korea. Prices and hours in Korea change often, so treat every number here as a figure that was true when it was written and worth a second look before you go.
